Nebraska Hams Celebrate Nebraska’s 150th Anniversary!

The Nebraska Sesquicentennial Year is over!  We thank all the hams inside and outside Nebraska who took part in our celebration.  This website will remain “up” for several months for reference.  We will stop accepting requests for certificates as of January 31, 2018.

Nebraska’s Hams will help the State celebrate throughout 2017.  Although commemorative contacts are encouraged from January 1 through December 31, the premier event is a nine day Sesquicentennial Anniversary Celebration Week QSO Party centered on the anniversary, March 1 (rules and information).  We will be connecting with hams throughout the world and making available a special QSL card to document QSOs (more information).

Throughout the entire year, Nebraska Hams are encouraged to use “/NE150” as a suffix to their calls, “KA0BOJ/NE150”, to recognize our celebration.  Also, Nebraska Hams are encouraged to activate historical or important Nebraska locations (such as Chimney Rock or the State Capitol) or to celebrate a theme (such as a Nebraska author) throughout the year (as well as during the QSO Party).  If you or your club are activating a site or a theme, please let us know and we’ll post it on this website.

To contact us, let us know about events, etc., please fill out the event/activity calendar submission form or email

Please check back to this website and our Facebook Group (@NE150Hams) for information on special Sesquicentennial Celebration QSL cards and on special site-related events.  We’ll get information posted as soon as we can.

This is an official Nebraska Sesquicentennial event sanctioned by the Nebraska Sesquicentennial Commission.
